Mat Pilates Instructor
Pilates Mat exercises are the foundation of the Pilates method. The Balanced Body Pilates Mat Instructor Certification Program includes the full repertoire of Pilates exercises, along with modifications and variations to make your program successful for a wide range of clients.
The Balanced Body Pilates Mat Certification Program Includes:

Instructions in the complete pre–Pilates, and Balanced Body Pilates Mat exercises.

To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Pilates Mat Instructor, students must complete the following:

Upon completion of all requirements, a certificate of completion as a Balanced Body Mat Instructor will be issued.

Comprehensive Pilates Instructor
The Mat and the Reformer complement each other. When the Trapeze Table, Chair, Barrel, and small equipmentare added to your certification, you will have learned the complete Balanced Body Pilates Instructor Training System. Learn how each apparatus works independently, and how together they make the whole system.
To become a fully qualified Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Instructor, students must complete the following requirements:

Complete 20 Mat personal sessions, 65 Reformer and Studio personal sessions, 65 Observation sessions, and 220 student teaching hours.

Bridge Program
The Balanced Body Pilates Bridge Program was created for students who have either started Pilates teacher training with another organization and want to transfer to Balanced Body, or have completed their training and are interested in also obtaining a certification as a Balanced Body Pilates Instructor. Balanced Body offers bridging program for Mat, Reformer, Mat and Reformer, and Comprehensive Pilates certifications.

Balance Body Pilates Certification Courses
Movement Principles Course
This course provides a solid foundation of the Balanced Body Pilates Instructor Training System while giving you a deep understanding of how the body works and how to make it work better. Stimulating, personalized, and deeply rooted in the art and science of movement, this course focuses on the practical understanding of common movement patterns which prepares instructors to be excellent at problem solving, goal setting, and learning new exercise techniques with ease. Movement Principles is the prerequisite course for all Balanced Body Pilates certification programs and includes five sections: Whole Body Movement, Trunk Integration, Lower Body Training, Upper Body Training, and Mobility and Restoration.
Movement Principles course includes:

Overview of anatomy, including bones and joints in specific relationship to movement.

Foundational exercises which apply to any movement and fitness setting.

This course includes an introduction to the history and principles of the Pilates method, and introduction of beginner and intermediate level exercises. Each exercise includes modifications, challenges, the purpose of the exercise, and any precautions for injuries and special populations. You will learn how to design and teach group classes, including guidelines for teaching seniors and pre and post–natal classes.
Mat part 1 course is 16 hours long, divided over a long weekend:
Friday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
In this course you will learn the remaining intermediate and advanced level Mat exercises for a complete understanding of the Pilates Mat program. The course also includes lectures on progressive skill development to achieve the advanced exercises, class design and programming for intermediate and advanced classes, and how to create successful Mat classes.
Mat part 2 course is 16 hours long, divided over a long weekend:
Friday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
In this course you will learn how to enhance your Mat classes by adding props such as the magic circle, foam roller, resistance bands, and balls to the traditional Mat exercises. Adding props makes class more dynamic, creative and fun! In addition, the Balanced Body Programming System is introduced to make class design easy and effective.
Mat part 3 course is 16 hours long, divided over a long weekend:
Friday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
This course includes an introduction to the Reformer, equipment set up, and safety and maintenance of the Pilates Reformer. You will learn beginner and intermediate level exercises while improving lower body alignment, creating balanced muscle development, and learning a protocol for effectively training the upper body.
Reformer part 1 course is 16 hours long, divided over a long weekend:
Friday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
In this course you will learn intermediate and advanced level exercises, with modifications and program designs for pre–and post–natal clients, clients with osteoporosis, clients with lower back injuries, dynamic assessment and correcting common dysfunctional movement patterns.
Reformer part 2 course is 16 hours long, divided over a long weekend:
Friday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Sunday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
This is the pinnacle course of the Reformer. You will learn advanced and super advanced level exercises. Progressive sequences designed to teach students advanced movement skills are included along with an introduction to the revolutionary Principle Based Programming System, helping you to create successful classes for clients at any level.
Reformer part 3 course is 16 hours long, divided over a long weekend:
